Styling your home can be stressful for some and we want to put your minds at ease.

Lighting can liven up any room and add contrast. Not only is it a fun way to add texture, but character too!

It is one of our favorite ways to style and decorate any corner of your home, but we know that decorating your space can add up quickly ($$$) especially when it comes to lighting, so we've come up with our favorite table lamps from designer to retail that won't hurt your pocket!

Before you start purchasing these lamps, there are a few steps we like to go through to make sure that its purpose and placement is right!

Room Purpose: establish how you are wanting to use this room, and if it is already well lit with natural light. Are you using it as an office, reading room, dining, etc.? You should also consider what elements of your room you're looking to highlight.

Lighting Purpose: Think of the importance of your light before randomly buying a lamp. Do you want something really bright or soft? Are you wanting to make your room feel warm and cozy or super bright and highlighting?

Lamp Size: Height and width can matter especially if you decide to place your table lamp as an accent piece near a mirror or artwork. Before purchasing anything it's always important to measure the dimensions of your pieces, so everything will look proportionate to each other and really make your space appear really put together!

Lamp Shade: Lamp shades can be really fun or you can make them neutral to make the actual lamp stand out more if it has more design or color to it. It also is important to consider the width or the shade and how transparent you want it to be depending on the mood you're wanting the room to be set in.

Lamp Placement: Table lamps can be placed on night stands, consoles, dressers, side tables, corner tables, and desks for decorative and functional purposes. Depending on the size of the lamp you can even stack it on top of some books to add more layers to your styled design!
