spend vs. save: entry way edition
Your entry way is the first thing we see when we walk into our home. This is the first impression your guests receive when they enter your home, and it can make for a great area to showcase the energy you want your home to feel. You can make it dramatic with a grand chandelier, or make it feel warm and inviting with a beautiful rug and family photos. Depending on how large or small your entry way is can really determine how you want to design this space. Make it bright and neutral to make it feel larger, or make it moody with some textured wallpaper to add some character. This is the fun part about designing any room in your home; you can make it totally you and personal.
An entry way is the first place you walk through (most of the time) when you come home, so it should be a place of tranquility and comfort. A stress free environment. Our homes are our sanctuaries, so we should design them to feel that way. We like to start out with a rug, then go from there. A rug can really help proceed with the rest of the design decisions. This is where we can pick out our color pallet and feel free to add some texture. After choosing a beautiful rug, you can really choose about anything to go in this space. Add a console table, benches, lamps, art, family photos, and of course our favorite plants! However you choose to style your entry way, make it you and make a good first impression!
