Boy Room Wallpaper

I miss the days when I got to design my nursery! It was such a sweet feeling getting to do my last one for my little boy who is now 2! It is crazy to me how fast time is flying!! I will say that I love getting to help other moms and new moms design their nurseries or kids’ rooms. One of my favorite ways to make any room feel a little different is by adding wallpaper! Wallpaper adds color, pattern, and sometimes even texture. When it comes to designing a boy’s room, I think it is so sweet to come in with fun wallpaper and let that be the moment. Now you don’t only have to consider it a nursery to put in wallpaper. Whether he is 1 or 8, he can have a cool wallpaper that will make his room feel a little more put together.  I know what you’re thinking, “Boys are messy, and children write on walls. Why would I invest in putting wallpaper in his room?” With today’s technology, many fabrics and wallpapers can come in a performance material, and some wallpapers can be reasonably priced. I want to help you find the right wallpaper for your little boy’s room. From color, texture, pattern, or even theme, there are many options to choose from when it comes to boy room wallpaper! Let’s look at the different types and prices of wallpaper and see if one speaks to you! Everything will be linked and shoppable here in this post!

Color

Let’s first talk about color! What theme/aesthetic are you trying to set for your little one’s space. You can always go neutral, but I feel when it comes to a child’s room I like to have more fun with color and texture. Letting their environment feel more playful and imaginative. There are blues, greens, and even dark earth tones.

Texture

If color makes you a bit nervous, this is where choosing a textured wallpaper comes into play. When I decide to go in with textured wallpaper I mainly select neutral colors. That way if I still want color in the room or space I can add it with pops of color through a rug, pillow, or art! Adding in textured wallpaper really just elevates the space and doesn’t make it feel so plain.

Pattern/Theme

Patterned and or themed wallpaper is a very fun option when selecting the perfect wallpaper for your little boy. You can make it very sweet with a dreamy wallpaper that emphasizes the sky with soft colors and clouds. Or you can make it playful by adding animals as I did for my Charlie. Giving a theme to your room can also make it a bit more simple when picking out decor items to complement that space! Since Charlie had zebra wallpaper we added certain stuffed animals, rugs, and art that went well with his theme.

Fun fact: before we installed Charlie’s wallpaper, my family and I wrote a sweet note on the wall underneath the wallpaper for him to see when we’d change it in the future! Doing this was a great way for my family to bond and for Charlie when he’s older to see that.

Here are some great wallpaper options for your little one!
