Dining nooks, breakfast nooks however you want to call and enjoy this space, this is a nook where families come together to get cozy, do homework, eat a meal, have a cup of coffee, play game night, or read a good book. We like to consider a dining nook a great spot in your home to make feel cozy and quaint all while making it entirely and uniquely your own! Make it feel soft with an upholstered bench/banquette or chairs! Bring in pops of color with art, or add some fun textured/patterned pillows!
We like to start our dining nook (or breakfast nook) with a neutral color scheme that way when we do want to change things up we can do it through color! This can simply mean just a pop of color here and there. We do this through decorative accents, rugs, pillows, chairs, art or even plants to liven up the place a little. By just adding a few pops of color in certain places, it will make it less of a hassle to switch out items to decorate for the holidays since you have a neutral base.
